As an immersive experience, we want you to feel like you have been transported to a fantastical new world from the moment you step through our doors! We want you to be fully immersed in whatever game you are playing, with an ambiance that heightens that experience.

It's important to us that the Tavern feels like a real, living world filled with adventure, intrigue (and bones.)

We’ve achieved this with immersive set dressing inspired by fantasy roleplaying games along with dynamic light and sound throughout the venue. There’s lots of hidden details to be found throughout the tavern, and the space will only evolve with time.

We recognize that there are already some fantastic gaming cafes in London, having fallen in love with a number of them ourselves, but we feel like there is nowhere prioritizing player immersion and storytelling.

Due to bright lights, loud social atmospheres, and frequent interruptions at the table, it can be very difficult to run a TTRPG or any kind of immersive story-focused game at these venues.

At the Arcanist’s Tavern we want to create a space that is designed to accommodate these games, and to build a community that is just as passionate about these games as we are.

Absolutely! Our staff are all experienced tabletop gamers with a flare for the dramatic, and we’d love to become a part of your story.

So long as you are mindful of our other guests, we welcome you to express yourself fully at the Arcanist’s Tavern.

Yes! We have a full cafe and bar, with a variety of food options available. More information can be found here.

We are currently overhauling our menu, so there may be some different options available when you come visit us! We’ll be posting an update regarding this soon.

Absolutely, it’s important to us that we have a variety of fantastic veggie and vegan options available!

Accessibility is incredibly important to us, and we are doing everything possible to make our venue as welcoming as possible. Our upstairs Apothecary space has full wheelchair access. We currently don’t have wheelchair access to our lower floor, but this is something we are keen to address in the future.
