Become a Game Master at the Arcanist’s Tavern!

We are looking for profesional Game Masters to run D&D5E adventures in our evolving world! As a GM at the Arcanist’s Tavern you will be running sessions in our Aeturnum setting, as well as original adventures for our partnered events.

About the role

As a Game Master your main duty will be running original 5E Adventures for our visitors! Some of the qualities and skills we look for in a Tavern GM are:

  • Creativity: You will be responsible for bringing our worlds to life and immersing our players. You must be creatively driven and passionate about roleplaying games and collective storytelling.

  • Communication: You will be required to coordinate and make yourself available for regular paid games. It’s essential that you mantain a high standard of communication whilst running games with us.

  • Consistency: Aeturnum is a living world, shaped by our players. The key to making this work is constistency across all our tables in lore, mechanics, and player interaction.

  • Compassion: There will be times when players require additional support during a session. You must be patient and supportive, ensuring that every player feels welcome and confident to express themselves whilst at the table.

  • Time management: You will be required to regularly run games in a 3-4 hour window, ensuring that you hit all the essential beats of a session during this time. You must be able to effectively manage your time and players- ensuring that they have a great experience whenver they play with us.

What we offer

In return, we offer the following to all Game Masters running for us:

  • Payment for every session: We don’t believe in having our GMs run for store credit or free drinks. You will be paid £7.50 per player at your table (averaging at £52.50 for a fully booked session).

  • Store Discounts: We offer both our Core and Support GMs discounts in-store.
