INKYFINGERS: August Update II
Hello, all! I'm Inkyfingers! Although, in this heat, you could probably call me 'Stinkyfingers'! Actually, come to think of it, the heat is irrelevant; 'Stinkyfingers' is apt year-round:
KILLER PROM NIGHT - Woooahh, dudes! The most unbodacious ... No. No, I'm not doing the voice again.
Our friends at Nobody's Fool Mystery Games are hosting another intriguing murder mystery evening at the Tavern on Friday 15 August, and this time, it's set in a high school prom, in the 1980s! So poodle your perms, jelly your shoes, and cube your Rubiks, it's time to solve (or potentially commit?) a terrible murder.
A handful of tickets are still available through our website.
LIFE DRAWING - Every Thursday, we invite you to join our friends, City Life Drawing, in a super-relaxed, untutored life drawing session. Sessions run from 7pm-9pm, with the next session taking place on Thursday, 14th August. Drawing boards and a wide array of art equipment is provided but feel free to bring your own tools and get as experimental as you like!
Tickets are available through the City Life Drawing site - www.citylifedrawing.com
D&D BEGINNERS/PROLOGUE - September tickets for both our D&D Beginners Nights and Prologue have been released on our website and spaces are still available.
If you've never played D&D before, our Beginners Nights are a perfect place to start, and once you've done that, and are interested in joining our ongoing Aeturnum campaign, the best (and only!) place to start is our Prologue intro game, which is a prerequisite before undertaking any of our Quest Board games.
AUGUST BLACK ARCHIVES: Welcome to Task Force Hex. It’s Suicide Squad meets Arcane where players take on the role of Gloamtide penitentiary inmates recruited into Task Force Hex, colloquially known as the Hex Squad. A council-sanctioned, expendable, black-ops intelligence unit comprising the prison’s most infamous inmates who agree to undertake high-risk, covert missions in exchange for commuted sentences. Its very existence? Denied. Its missions? Off the record. Its survival rate? Minimal.
There are limited tickets available for our next Black Archives game on Friday 29th August. Rory will be running Hex Squad - Herald of the Deep, a D&D5E 2024 one-shot, built for 12th level characters. Pre-gen characters will not be available, and players will be required to build a 12th level character to Tavern guidelines. This is a high-level game, prior D&D experience is required.
Tickets are available through our website.
OFF WITH YOUR HEAD - We had such an amazing time with Sam and Stephen, and No Rolls Barred's Blair and Laurie at the last Off With Your Head, Sam will be coming back in September to host his incredible interactive comedy game show, where two guest performers try to rule a 12th Century Kingdom, and YOU decide who lives and dies!
Watch this space for who our special guests will be and for when tickets go live.
TAVERN QUIZ - After an absolutely rammed July Quiz, the August Tavern Quiz is scheduled for the Bank Holiday Monday 25th Aug. Because we sold out last month, we highly recommend getting tickets in advance through the Tavern website. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go listen to Bow Wow Wow's seminal album 'See Jungle! See Jungle! Go Join Your Gang, Yeah. City All Over! Go Ape Crazy'. Good times.
Until next time!
I.
