INKYFINGERS: February Update I
Hello, all! Inkyfingers here! It sure has been cold outside. I guess it beats the occasional blood rain we experience in Adrestia. Here's what's coming up at the Tavern!
DICE TOMES - We have recently increased our dice offerings, thanks to our friends at Artefact Games, with their amazing Dice Tome sets. Each Tome contains 10 polyhedral dice, and one metal coin (aka D2), as well as a foam inlay and magnetic clasp to keep them all secure. Each Tome also opens up to become a functional dice tray! Also available are sets of 7 polyhedral dice, each with a metal coin, a range of D6 sets, and a range of Character Journals - beautifully bound character sheets, specially made for you to keep track of your favourite blorbo or scrunkly.
D&D2024 ALT ART MONSTER MANUAL - Tuesday 18 February marks the release date of the Monster Manual 2024 edition, and the Tavern have ordered a small amount of the alt art covers. These editions are only available through brick-and-mortar stores, and only in very limited quantities. In the interests of fairness, we will not be reserving any copies - they will be available at one copy each, first come, first served.
QUIZ NIGHT - The Tavern Quiz returns on Monday 24 February, and we have more giveaways! This time, we have tickets to The Habits, a new play being held at Hampstead Theatre. Here's the skinny:
'It’s Thursday night — so Jess, Maryn and Milo are at the board game café, continuing their quest to defeat the Nightmare King… It has been months, but now all that stands between them and victory is a few lucky rolls of a twenty-sided dice. A struggling student, an overworked trainee solicitor and a reluctant job-seeker, here they are transformed into Dungeon Master, Wizard, and Warrior Princess. But what happens when the line between fantasy and reality begins to blur?'
That line is already pretty blurry to me, but if you want to experience it for yourself, come along to the quiz for your chance to snag tickets! The quiz starts at 6.30pm, and costs £3.50 to enter. Also, Ringo handed me a note that simply said 'Respect the Rule of Three'. I have no idea what he's referring to.
OLD WORLD EVENT - The Tavern will once again be hosting a narrative Old World day in the Guild Hall. This time, a siege is taking place, with Greenskins descending on the Imperial province of Ostermark.The two main factions be Empire vs Orcs & Goblins, as well as their respective allies.

INTERNET IN THE ARCHIVES - We have heard your lamentations about the internet in the Archives being spotty, or downright unavailable, so we've drilled some holes and poked things into them to create a network specifically for the downstairs areas. Be sure to ask staff for the password next time you're in.
