INKYFINGERS: June Update I
Hello, all! My name is Inkyfingers and my fun fact is that I live in the walls. Here's what you need to know this time around:
UKGE - The UK Games Expo was held in Birmingham over this last weekend. We sent Benedikt and Phil there to check it out, and they have returned, arms laden with all sorts of goodies for our game library, including the psychotropic Cosmic Frog, Fighting Fantasy throwback Escape the Dark Castle, and the exciting new releases Rebirth and Critter Kitchen! These will be unboxed, punched and added to the library at the beginning of this week. You can view our library online at Board Game Geek here: https://boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/320602/arcanists-tavern-shoreditch-our-library
FREE RPG DAY - Saturday 21 June is Free RPG Day, a day when we will have a range of lovely free goodies from RPG creators and publishers! Visitors to the Tavern will be able to grab up to three Free RPG Day items per person. We will not hold items for customers - it will be first come, first served.
As part of the festivities, we'll be running some discounted TTRPG one-shots from 2PM (with all proceeds going to our talented House GMs) and holding a social event for our wonderful community in the Apothecary above from 6PM. The social will include a mysterious, peregrinating giveaway worth over £500, so be there for your chance to win!
More details regarding the one-shots will be dropping shortly! Be sure to keep an eye out for further updates.
CANDLEKEEP - There are only a handful of tickets left for our June arc of Candlekeep Chronicles: The Price of Beauty, our 3-part D&D5E 2024 sessions. Taking place over 3 Tuesdays, this event is perfect for less experienced players, but some familiarity and experience with the core rules of D&D will be required to attend. Tickets are available on our site.
BLACK ARCHIVES - Some tickets are still available for our Black Archives session 'Endless Tunnels of Enlandin', a Deluxe Tunnels & Trolls adventure. Tunnels & Trolls was first released in 1975, making it one of the first fantasy RPGs made after Dungeons & Dragons. It uses a D6 combat resolution system, and our GM Sean guarantees a classic RPG treasure hunt. Grab your tickets here.
Until next time!
I.
