INKYFINGERS: October Update I
Hello, all! Inkyfingers, the Tavern scribe, here again to read the entrails and the tea leaves and let you know what the future holds for the Tavern.
TICKETING: As a general rule, tickets for our regularly scheduled events are released at the tail end of the month, two months prior to the event. For example, for an event in December, tickets will be released at the end of October. I will be the first to admit that I am not always the most up-to-the-minute source of when these ticket drops happen, so we recommend keeping an eye on our Discord channel and Instagram account.
D&D BEGINNERS NIGHT: Speaking of tickets, a handful of tickets remain for our 17th November D&D Beginners Night session. This has proven to be an extremely popular program, and we are looking to increase the frequency that they are held. Get your tickets here: https://arcaniststavern.uk/events
CANDLEKEEP CHRONICLES: Standing atop a rocky crag overlooking the Sea of Swords, the massive citadel of Candlekeep has endured the elements for centuries and defied the degradations of time. It holds the largest repository of written lore in Faerûn, including the collected prophecies of an ancient sage named Alaundo the Seer. Those compiled divinations make up a tiny fraction of the accumulated knowledge and secrets contained in the library’s vast collection…
Our Candlekeep 3-part arc for October is about to begin. Roll up a Level 8 adventurer using D&D5E 2024 rules or level up your character from the previous arc. This event is perfect for less experienced players, but some familiarity and experience with the core rules of D&D will be required to attend.

IT'S YOUR ROLE: Answer the call and become the hero in a madcap Dungeons & Dragons adventure, as a troupe of professional actors brings a chaotic fantasy world to life! But there’s a twist – one lucky audience member will be cast into the adventuring party live on stage.
Name NPCs, sound magical instruments, or take the leap and join the quest yourself. Direct from performing Off-West End, as well as having recently performed at World's Lair alongside Oxventure and Dark Dice. It's Your Role is a riotous night if improv and fantasy, where the audience shapes the story and you could be the hero who tips the scales of fate.

TAVERN QUIZ: The monthly Tavern Quiz will take place on Monday 27 October. Eschewing the usual general knowledge questions, Ringo has decided to make it spooky, with all of the questions being horrific, macabre, or otherwise icky in nature. While a good knowledge of horror films is recommended, there will be other subjects too, such as the sky burials that take place in Towers of Silence. Tickets are available through the Events page.
TAVERN CLOSURE: Please note that the Arcanist's Tavern will be closed to the public on Monday 13 October. You are forbidden to know or inquire as to why this is the case.
THE WITCH QUEEN: Tickets for our next Aeturnum Narrative Event will be going on sale next Friday at 6:30PM! Sail to the shrouded continent of Lumeria, and form an alliance with an ancient and deadly coven of witches. You will be tasked with venturing into the accursed Valley of Songs on an expedition to recover Vel'thara's Crown. A reality-warping fae artefact from a forgotten era…
