Hello, all! Inkyfingers here again, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance! Here's what's happening in the Tavern:
IMMERGENCY - On Friday 11th July, the Tavern will play host to Immergency: A Climate Crisis Escape Game.
Immergency is a high-stakes, science-based escape room game where players will Step into the shoes of a UN climate response team, and the mission is clear: save the planet before time runs out.
From 2025 to 2050, you'll race against the clock to solve interactive, tactile puzzles, unlock solution cards, and implement the world’s most effective strategies to cut carbon emissions.
Cooperative, hands-on, and grounded in the latest climate science, Immergency is more than a game - it’s a glimpse into the real pathways to a sustainable future.
Sessions last 1 hour and will come with a free welcome drink. Tickets are available through our site.
CANDLEKEEP CHRONICLES - We've still got a few tickets remaining for our next instalment of Candlekeep Chronicles! Join us for a multi-part adventure, as you uncover lost tales from the forgotten depths of Candlekeep. Your work as a research assistant to the citadel's scholars will see you traversing distant planes in search of long buried secrets. Candlekeep Chronicles is a reimagining of the classic adventures from Candlekeep Mysteries. Our next quest will be Book of Cylinders, for Level 6 adventurers. Fifteen years ago, the Book of Cylinders fell into the hands of the archivists and librarians of Candlekeep as part of a collection of works recovered from a ruined keep in Tethyr, far to the south. It describes a conflict between a settlement of grippli (froglike humanoids distantly related to bullywugs) and an invading force of yuan-ti. The explorers who found the Book of Cylinders and bore it safely to Candlekeep claimed it wasn’t a historical account, but a warning of dire events yet to unfold... BLOOD ON THE CLOCKTOWER - Have you heard about the social deduction sensation, Blood on the Clocktower, but not sure where to start? We are offering beginner-friendly sessions once-a-month at the Tavern.
Set in a small town plagued by sinister forces, players take on roles as villagers, outsiders, minions, or the demon itself. The goal is simple: uncover the truth before it's too late - or, if you're on the side of evil, sow chaos and confusion to evade detection.

LIFE DRAWING - Visitors to the Tavern on a Thursday may have noticed extra secret business going on in the Guild Hall. The truth is not so nefarious: we are playing host to Life Drawing classes with our friends, City Life Drawing. Sessions run from 7pm-9pm, with the next session taking place on Thursday, 3rd July. Drawing boards and a wide array of art equipment is provided but feel free to bring your own tools and get as experimental as you like! The sessions are relaxed and untutored.
