INKYFINGERS: August Update II

Hello all! It's Inky time again! You know that I'm always here! It's Inky time again! You know it's the only thing that keeps us together! (rips sick guitar solo).

FREE RPG DAY

Saturday 22 August is Free RPG Day, a day when a group of publishers provide vendors with a kit full of a selection of goodies to give away to their customers for free.

Free RPG Day was delayed in the UK, due to problems with US Customs, but the kits are now here, and to celebrate, we're hosting two game sessions - Pirate Borg and Vaesen. At the time of writing, we have a small handful of tickets left.

That said, if you do miss out on a ticket, you're still welcome to come to the Tavern to pick up some free RPG modules and other bits n' pieces. As per previous years, the items will be available on a first-come-first-served, no reservations, 3-per-customer basis.

PRIVATE HIRE

As the summer grinds on, more and more people are finding shelter in the wonderful cool climes of the Tavern. There has been a marked increase in Private Hire requests, where some folks book out specific parts of the Tavern - the Apothecary, the Guild Hall and the Archives - for their exclusive use. This may result in some areas not being available to book on some nights.

We've hosted corporate events, birthday parties, final games of long-running TTRPG campaigns, and even a wedding! We're quite flexible! If you're looking for a special venue for a special event, get in touch with us through our site here: https://arcaniststavern.uk/venue-private-hire

DREAD

For a long time, Ockham House has stood silent. The once-beautiful Victorian manor, long abandoned after the tragic end of the man who built it, lay in ruins and disrepair until a genius developer chose it for his most ambitious project ever.

Now completely renovated and turned into a luxury smart house with a fully automated AI system, Ockham House is on the market again. You have been lucky enough to get a spot on the house’s first open viewing.

But is this going to be a dream house, or the beginnings of a nightmare?

Dread is a psychological horror game in which players pull from a Jenga tower to determine who succeeds… and who dies. This is an immersive horror RPG with a strong psychological component and as such may include fairly strong and upsetting themes.

Tickets for our next Dread session on Friday, 28th August, are on sale now!

A PARTICULARLY PECULIAR PREDICAMENT

Following a successful mission, a newly-formed party try to kick back and enjoy a well earned pint at a local tavern. However, they are soon pulled into a rather unusual emergency…

Embark on a new D&D multi session journey full of mystery and magic. Roll dice, uncover secrets, fight powerful foes and make a few friends along the way!

This is a multi-part event running on Tuesday 15th September, Tuesday 22nd September, and Tuesday 29th September. Your ticket will get you access to all sessions for the month.

TAVERN QUIZ

Tickets for our Tavern Quiz, on Bank Holiday Monday 31st August, are now available on our site. As it's Ringo's birth month, he has promised (threatened?) a small handful of Ringo-related questions to appease his rampant narcissism. No more than 3 at most, and they will all be multiple choice, so you might guess your way to points. Just remember: he's an angel to some. A demon to others.

Also, please note that the Tavern Quiz slated for Monday 28th September, will not be taking place, as Ringo will be out of the country.

Until next time!

I.
